Summary:

Sarah Jane will always help the Doctor. This is a fact of life. Even if, at times, she's not certain it is directly helping the Doctor.

Loose Ends Tied Up

Sarah smiled as the door opened and two pair of feet clattered into the house, with quiet giggles and 'shushing' on both parts. It was good to hear Luke being a normal boy, trying to sneak back in the house a little past his curfew. It wasn't terribly past the time, so she decided to let it slide, listened as they made up the couch for Maria to stay on, before the telly was turned on to catch a show.

Once they were comfortably settled in, Sarah went down to the kitchen from her office, ready for a break from writing the article due on Monday. With Maria — and inevitably, Clyde — to occupy Luke for the weekend, she was confident she'd beat her first draft into shape and submit it on time.

A tray of biscuits, juice, and crisps was enough to occupy her for now, something she delivered to her son and friend before taking the open chair to see what they were watching.

"Hi, mum," vied with "Miz Smith", getting an exasperated eye-roll for the formality. Then again, Maria seemed to do it on first sight more to get that reaction, because Maria grinned at her before swiping a packet of crisps and one of the juice cups.

"I think I preferred the slapstick of The Young Ones," Sarah said after the episode ended.

"That's comparing two very different things, mum," Luke said. "This is a drama."

"I think she means that it might be more of an escapism to watch that kind of show over this, when it's a lot like we see the older kids dealing with?" Maria offered. "I think that Tony is going to wind up causing a lot of grief for his friends."

"Probably," Luke said, "at least from what I have learned so far on how dramas play out."

Sarah Jane smiled to herself as the pair discussed the episode, savoring the quiet break.

Which, of course, meant there was a knock at the door.

"Mr. Smith?" Sarah questioned as Luke and Maria quieted.

"It appears to be Ms. Stewart, and she is alone."

Sarah sighed heartily as she stood. "Watch the next one without me. And no peeping in the kitchen, hmm?"

They gave her the most innocent looks they could manage, and Sarah filed a note to tell Clyde to stop rubbing off on her son quite that much.

She went to the door, opening it to find Alistair's daughter there, dressed professionally and looking hopefully at her.

"Kate."

"Sarah."

"Kitchen; I don't want the sleepover disturbed," Sarah decreed, leading the younger woman into her home. "Business, I take it?"

"I am afraid so, but it should just be picking your brain for any memories that Father might have shared with you about an incident."

The two women settled at the kitchen table, after Sarah had prepped two cups of tea for them from the kettle.

"So which particular incident are we looking at seeing if Alistair mentioned?" Sarah asked, appreciating that Kate had learned to let her open the discussions.

"It happened near Carbury, at the lake there, while Bamberra was in charge of UNIT," Kate said. "Something that involved aliens and Excalibur, supposedly?"

Sarah Jane had to smile at that, as yes, Alistair had told her a bit about the aliens and near destruction of the world. "What has made that relevant? Your father and the Doctor, with his assistant of the time, saw to ending the threat."

"An artifact that was in a chest turned up, and while it is thought to be The Grail, our analysts were able to get a good scan, and its composition matches the elemental nature of debris from those aliens," Kate said. "Then we had reports from Carbury of a woman calling herself Igraine brainwashing locals into a cult.

"Naturally, we at UNIT are a bit wary now."

Both of them frowned, thoughts running in similar patterns. This was Earth, their home, and they both defended it in their own fashion, but sometimes, the first response to alien threats was a firm wish for the Doctor to come and rescue them from folly.

"Let me find the notes I typed up from Alistair's conversations on that topic," Sarah told her, standing to go upstairs, knowing Mr. Smith would already have a tidy printout by the time she got to his room.

"Any chance you're ever give us all of them?" Kate asked, a hopeful note in her voice.

"I still do not trust your people well enough for that, so no."

Clyde had shown up and taken the other two off to do, as he put it, cool things for the day, leaving Sarah Jane plenty of time to work on her article. She had just managed to rework the hook so it had the right punch to it when someone knocked. Daytime solicitors were not that unusual, so she thought nothing of going down to answer, especially as Mr. Smith had not said anything for announcement.

She opened the door to see a man with a hat, an umbrella, and a girl in a black leather jacket.

Sarah didn't manage, quite, to hide her recognition of the girl, having known her at a different point in the girl's life. The shape of the umbrella and the question marks on the sweater vest would have made the man obvious to anyone with even a passing familiarity to him.

"This is quite unexpected, Doctor," she said, stepping back to let them in. "You must be Ace." That was the name Dorothy had used when she traveled with the man, Sarah remembered.

"I told you we'd be welcome," the Doctor said with a tweaking brush of the girl's nose.

"You said the opposite, actually, Professor."

Sarah just smiled and shook her head. "I am more than willing to lend you aid, Doctor. Any of you. And your Companions can always seek me out."

Ace gave her a searching look, before locking it down behind a smile. Sarah saw to getting them each a cup of tea, settling them at her kitchen table. She did wonder just when in the history of the Doctor this one fell, but that was a question she just didn't want to ask. He didn't seem as scarred by tragedy as the one at the school incident.

"I was hoping that the Xylok we scanned as being present might be willing to help us, Sarah Jane," the Doctor said. "I am hoping they might have more awareness of Morgaine's dimension than I found in the TARDIS."

"He," and Sarah stressed the pronoun, "has already been asked about it, and had nothing to offer."

"UNIT?" the Doctor questioned, with a nose wrinkle.

Sarah nodded in answer. "If it helps, it was their head of science," she offered.

"A bit, yes." He finished his tea, then tipped his head quizzically. "I thought you had a K-9 at this point…"

"He's been a little erratic lately, so he's currently running a deep diagnostic — and no, he does not need your help," Sarah said firmly, getting a chuckle out of him and Ace.

"Well, I suppose I should go deal with the dimensional interloper. Hopefully this goes less explosively than the last time." He pointedly looked at Ace, who just raised her hands innocently.

"I don't even have any on me, I swear."

They finished their tea, with the Doctor hugging Sarah, then both left to deal with the threat.

Sarah found that her chest didn't hurt nearly as much as it had when she told the other one 'no', and she took comfort in knowing this young Companion seemed as plucky as Rose had. Given the good work that Dorothy would do once she settled from her travels, that was not too surprising.

With the article turned in with plenty of time to spare, Sarah Jane settled in for the evening with all three children, listening to the tales of the weekend. She let the news play, half-alert for whatever cover story was placed for whatever the events near Carbury turned out to be.

There was nothing.

That should have been heartening, but she was too well-trained by life to accept the idea that the Doctor could be anywhere nearby and not make the news. She had seen too many cover ups, learned the truth of them.

The idea of it kept her stewing over it all the way into the next morning, after the trio had headed out for the cinema.

She walked over to Maria's house, knocking politely until Alan came to the door.

"I know it is short notice, but would you mind much if I leave a note for Maria and the boys to come over here this evening? I have an investigation to attend to that came up suddenly."

"Not a problem; half-wondered if you were mad for agreeing to a weekend long sleepover with the bank holiday and all," Alan said with half a smile. She returned it, then quickly head back to her house. "Mr. Smith, when the children return, ask them to go to Maria's house for the evening. I may be back by nightfall, but unlikely."

"You will be taking the dog, I hope," he answered her primly.

She considered, then decided that was, actually, a very good idea. K-9 had a way of being helpful for remote scanning and in a jam, he could be trusted to come to the rescue.

"I shall," she told him, going to get her larger purse with its assortment of tools for alien misadventures, and K-9 himself.

A glance at K-9 confirmed her suspicions as Sarah Jane hid behind a tree, watching as the Doctor was running down the three apparent humans ringing him in.

"Dimensional energies located, mistress," K-9 offered with a twist of his ear antennae. She smiled at him.

"Good job, K-9. Do you detect any chemical traces affiliated with Nitro-9?"

"Affirmative."

"Go to those traces and help Ace. Remember, she is still early in her time-line."

"Affirmative."

Sarah waited for the dog to get himself on his way, out of immediate danger, and pulled a pen as well as a pad out, tidied her outfit, and strode out with all the confidence that had let her bluff numerous government officials, military men, and aliens.

"Ahh, I am looking for a Miss Igraine to do an interview?" She projected her voice, and the three turned… leading to the Doctor using the hook of his umbrella to pull one off balance, making him measure his length in the dirt.

"Get the woman!" the leader, a woman herself, screamed… but she took off running, right in the direction that K-9 had gone.

The second man left his tripped colleague to deal with the Doctor, advancing menacingly on Sarah. She let her face show hesitation and apprehension, letting him get close. She had lifted her pen, thumb over the clicker on it, and when he was almost to her, she took a deep breath to hold.

The button clicked, and a cloud of very fine pepper puffed out in the man's face, causing him to begin coughing violently. A quick uppercut with the notepad — a heavier prop than it looked like — laid him out so she could take stock of the Doctor's tussle.

It was, as expected, every bit as comedic as she expected, with the Doctor feinting from the man who had gotten back on his feet.

"Are you even trying?" the Doctor baited, and the man lunged to a full running tackle. The Doctor stepped out of the way, and a tree delivered the knockout blow. The Doctor dusted himself off and looked at Sarah with a brilliant smile before turning in the direction the woman had run.

The distinct sound of K-9's stunner came, then, and Sarah was the one smiling.

"I do hope you have a plan for sending them home and keeping them there?"

"As you have done me the favor of bringing K-9, I believe he and the TARDIS can rig a dimensional projector to do just that," he assured her, coming to stand beside her. The arm that went around her waist and pulled her close was welcome, even as Ace appeared with the woman in a fireman's carry.

"Oi, a little help here?" she called, with K-9 rolling at her heels.

The Doctor and Sarah shared a laugh, then went to do just that.

Sarah slipped into the house, letting the quiet soothe her from yet another emotionally fraught farewell with the man that had broadened her horizons endlessly. She was still correct in choosing Earth over 'just one more quick jaunt', as she had Luke to think of, as well as all of the aliens she had helped find their way home or a safer place on Earth.

With any luck, the Doctor was truly behind her now. She did wonder if Dorothy would admit to this meeting now, the next time they met up. And that reminded her; she needed to set up an alert with Mr. Smith to keep an eye out for Rose Tyler, so that she or Dorothy could be on hand to help her, once her adventures came to an end.

Missy and the Reporter

After Luke goes to school

Sarah Jane Smith, reporter at large, with a side business of aiding and abetting kindly aliens to peacefully exist, did not like the look of the woman on her doorstep as she returned from a refreshing early morning walk. She was not one to take first impressions as hard fact, but there was a coldness to the woman dressed all in black, her makeup accentuating something sinister in her face…

… and the eyes looked older than the years etched in flesh. A chill walked over Sarah's spine, as a memory of an almost feline man dressed too similarly on a world far, far way in who knew what time came to mind.

"Miz Smith," the woman said, not pretending to anything but politeness.

"You have the advantage of me."

"Always, but I am truly here seeking… knowledge. Understanding. Perhaps, enlightenment."

"What name should I use for you this life then?" Sarah said, calmly confirming she had placed exactly who she was dealing with. It provoked a small smile.

"You were competent, from all I ever heard or saw. Not like Nursery Rhyme girl or the flight attendant."

Jo Grant. Tegan Jovanka. Sarah knew them both quite well, having committed to a network of the Doctor's former assistants and companions in hopes of protecting Earth better. Jo, in particular, had been one to fill her ears with stories of the Master, after everything on Gallifrey, while Tegan tended to be quieter, only saying he was a cold-blooded murderer.

Of that, Sarah had no doubt, and she wondered at her sanity as she unlocked the door for this woman to come in.

"Call me Missy," the woman finally said, stepping in and glancing around. "Hmm, nicer than the Impossible Girl's apartment." Sarah Filed that reference away, to determine who Missy meant. She led the woman to the kitchen, got tea between them, and studied the woman for a long moment.

"The last I knew, you were responsible for a number of reprehensible crimes against humanity and the Doctor in specific."

"Pish tosh, all in the past now, dear," Missy said, smiling brightly, but it wasn't in her eyes. Her eyes were full of memory and pain, tugging at Sarah's need to believe people could and would change for the better. She'd seen the hubristic man that all the Doctors agreed was their first incarnation, and seen the subtle changes from her original one to the one that had left her on Earth. She's seen further changes in the one that had been President of Gallifrey, Tegan's primary incarnation. The ones since then had all had further evolutions, and Sarah wondered if this arch-nemesis had come to a moral need for redemption.

"Why seek me? I have had very little to do with your lives, in all the time my own has crossed that of the Doctor."

Missy sipped her tea, then met Sarah's eyes. "Because you sit outside it. You have made yourself aware of the mysteries surrounding him by building a network of his companions from this backwater mud-ball. You continue his idiotic crusade of helping others.

"I had hope that perhaps, with what limited cerebral activity you apes manage, that you might have insight on why he is like that!"

Sarah could only stare, then she sat back in her chair. "So you can seek a weakness in him to exploit?"

"Dear, I know all of those already." Missy's eyes glinted in a fashion that was too knowledgeable, reminding Sarah of the adage about friends, enemies, and proximity. "No. I am… at a crossroads. Bored, maybe. Help me see what makes him that way, and perhaps I can play the game by his rules for a while."

Still suspicious of a trap, or at least a hidden dagger, Sarah Jane pulled all of her memories of the Doctor, all of Alistair's reminisces about him, stories shared by the others who had traveled with him… and began her sketch of words about who the Doctor truly was.

"He's kind — I know that doesn't matter in the least to you — though he often coats it with acerbic wit or sardonic humor," Sarah said. "He's curious. Must know the ins and outs, the whys and the hows. He's lonely now; I saw that when I met him with Rose Tyler.

"He's carrying the weight of the Time War on his shoulders, and I think — somehow — he had glimpses it was to come, as the one with Dorothy was more cryptic and guarded about some of what he said and did. Above all else, though, he hates for anything that interferes with people choosing their own path to make things move forward, in better ways.

"As he showed every time a species with more ability in science and technology tried to interfere with us mere humans." Sarah Jane looked at the dangerous woman across from her. "Did any of that shake things loose for you?"

"Well, they are fairly surface, petty observations," Missy protested, but the first moment had shown something wistful in her eyes. "His curiosity has always been so meddlesome."

Sarah tipped her head. "Tell me what you see then."

That made Missy smile, bright but cold, before placing a single finger against her cheek in contemplation.

"A brilliant mess of a man that ran away screaming from the void, yet continually picks at the scabs around his experience, seeking the path that makes him feel alive while knowing he is as utterly doomed as any Time Lord. We are all, Sarah Jane, part of the discordant cacophony that Rassilon and Omega and others crafted on the galactic symphony, and none of us may escape it."

"Is that why you cross his path so often? To find life outside the strictures of your people?" Sarah Jane asked her in a gentle tone.

Missy looked away, then set her jaw before answering. "I have, at times, felt he and I were more of a kind than not. Perhaps I seek to pull him to my way of thinking. Maybe I just have nothing better to do."

"He leaves a mark on us… and I believe you must have known him longer, more in depth, than those of us he picks up, carts around, and eventually replaces. I can find it in myself to hope that whatever you and he will ultimately be? Is something greater than plots, mayhem, and murder as a child's game shared between two brilliant minds."

"I suppose we may someday learn," Missy answered before standing. "It was an interesting chat, Miz Smith."

Sarah stood to walk her out, understanding that this odd point of reflection for the deadly woman was at an end.

After, she would have to see if Mr. Smith felt like upgrading his sensors and checking his parameters for actually barring dangers like Missy from the house.

Touched by Regeneration

…sarah…

…sarah jane…

"SARAH!"

The cold sweat that broke out as a journalist sat up in her bed was a small reminder that it had only been a dream.

That did not keep her from gulping air down, or the tears that joined the sweat, all without knowing why. She was not unaccustomed to dreaming, knew many of her dreams took her to alien landscapes, and often had the Doctor or Harry or even Alistair present in them.

The pressure and scent of Metebelis 3 pressed in on every sense, reminding Sarah Jane sharply of the fear of losing the Doctor in those moments before his regeneration. Why was that the nightmare plaguing her?

She rose and pulled on her dressing gown, absently pulling her phone from the bedside table before blearily making her way to the kitchen. She started seeping an herbal tea to calm her nerves, making her brain process through the things she was supposed to do today, rather than the dream.

That had been so long ago by her own time-line, and she had seen him since that moment, still dapper and full of joie de vivre, helping his other selves outwit the villains behind their abduction.

She closed her eyes, thinking of the odd sense of relief that she had not had to face both of 'her' Doctors at once. She had been curious about others that overlapped the changes. Tegan Jovanka had admitted to barely knowing the one with the scarf, being too caught up in the strangeness. Mel Bush had not offered many insights when Dorothy introduced them, but Sarah knew she had experienced it.

Had any Companion that had traveled in the TARDIS regularly met as many incarnations as she and Alistair had?

"Ms. Smith, you have over-steeped your beverage," Mr. Smith intruded. "Are you unwell? Should I send an alert to Rani or one of the others?"

"No, no that's not necessary. I would like you to do an intensive scan for tachyon presence… and any psionic residue, please."

Maybe she was jumping at shadows, but this dream had felt entirely too different to just dismiss it.

And she had a feeling the Doctor — any of them — might need her very soon.

Several more nights, and Sarah was certain she was seeing, feeling, experiencing each of the ends of the Doctors she had met. The harshest for her had been her Doctor with the scarf, and now she understood better how Tegan had been affected even as she was mostly a stranger at the time.

Why, though, was her psyche doing this? And how could she have known such details? She had heard of some of them, but the others were people she had not traveled with or managed to find former Companions for to share such details.

Seeing the ending of the little fellow with the recorder had truly helped bring home why the Doctor had such issues with the Time Lords, not that she hadn't known that from her trip to Skaro.

Mr. Smith had not discovered anything at all, and so Sarah braced herself for the necessity, texting Kate Stewart with a simple 'meeting?'.

She was taken slightly aback by the reply coming within ten minutes with a place and time for her. She checked her schedule, popped a message in the group chat that Luke and his friends used that she was taking a day trip, not to worry if the house was quiet for a bit. She then went to pack, double check the security on Mr. Smith's hideaway, and let K-9 know he was charged with guarding the house.

Shockingly, the meeting was at UNIT itself, and Sarah Jane was not the only one present. She winced to see Rose Tyler there, noted Tegan Jovanka, Mel Bush — and it clicked that she and at least two of the others had been there for a regeneration.

She walked over to Rose, who took the offered hug, holding on for longer than either of them should have, possibly.

"I think the last time this many of us were so close together, the world was ending," Sarah said, staying beside Rose as she looked over to the other two.

"In this case, it is not such a calamity, but there is a problem for us," Mel said, managing a smile despite never having been truly comfortable in the loose network of Sarah's contacts that had traveled with the Doctor.

"We were all present for a regeneration," Rose said, stating the common point. "And all of us absorbed some of that energy. Even living in an alternate universe didn't fully take it out of me."

"From your file, I am least surprised about you," Mel answered that, but it was a gentle thing. "We think — UNIT's scientists, and yes Ms. Smith, I gave in and joined them — that the Doctor who has taken residence here is affecting us due to the strange way he regenerated."

"He knows how to regenerate any other way?" Tegan asked.

Mel gave a sigh. "There are, from my point of view and linear timeline, currently two Doctors in existence, in a way that is apparently allowed by the fixed points of time that their regenerations generally are done. And the one here, the one who chose to live on Earth and just heal… is undergoing therapy."

Rose's jaw dropped open, Sarah crossed her arms, and Tegan outright laughed, but there was a hysterical note to it.

"Where do we send the pints and chocolates, for the therapist?" Tegan asked. "I went through one round of the Doctor needing to heal and find himself and recover! I don't need these… these nightmares of his — their — deaths plaguing me!"

"You, or Kate, anticipated all of us reaching out," Sarah said firmly. "So what plan is there for helping us disentangle from the Doctor that is living on Earth?"

"We have to walk him through the regrets, address them, so he can actually close those doors himself," Rose said, before Mel could speak. "Don't we?"

Mel nodded. "I did. It was a little rough, but the dreams stopped. We don't know if the others, the ones who only traveled for long periods, will be affected in time, but those of us who saw him change hold keys to helping him move forward… and maybe ourselves.

"But Rose… when he had regenerated from the lovely lady, he fell back on a familiar face, and that is one of the two you traveled with."

Sarah was already reaching up, and Rose just turned back into that support, holding on to Sarah as she wrestled with her emotions. They were the two that had known a deeper relationship of the four here, at least by all Sarah had ever pried out of Tegan. Sarah had seen the love between Rose and the Doctor so easily, while her own heart…

…they'd never been a fairy tale couple, and yet Sarah had known a deep connection with both of hers.

"I'll do it," she said softly. "I knew him first of all four of us. Who knows; maybe I can walk him through enough regrets that he finds those doors and closes them himself? Theirself? Which way is right?" She gave a nervous smile for asking, and Tegan softened from her brittle defensiveness.

"I wish it was her I'd get to talk to," Tegan answered that.

"He is very much masculine in this one," Mel assured them. "I'll call Donna Noble and see if he's free to come over today? Or would we rather set it for later in the week?"

"Thursday," Sarah told her. "Luke's coming home Friday, and that will give me something to look forward to." She then looked at Rose, still in her loose embrace. "You know where I live, for after."

Rose nodded. "I'll… I think I should be last, Ms. Jovanka, if you are going to try this? For those reasons Mel hinted at."

"I will. Friday, if he's up for it," Tegan told Mel.

"I'll get it arranged."

The lounge that Sarah was shown to was decorated in prints from the Van Gogh collection. The man inside was no stranger, though older and very worn by his many lives. She immediately went to him, having been thinking about this since the first meeting with Mel.

"Doctor."

"Sarah Jane!" he answered, a bit of a slide in the name to show his joy.

"You look tired," she pointed out, drawing him to sit with her on the sofa.

"It's been a busy … however long. I know, don't tell you how old."

She smiled gently at him, and took his hand. "I want you to know that I have only a few regrets of our travels, but I have come to understand that they ended for a reason. Even if you made that very difficult from time to time, what with sending my K-9."

The Doctor made a thoughtful sound. "Tell me a regret?"

"That I didn't convince you better of the need on Skaro?" Sarah said, a little wan smile on her face.

"Oh, och, aye," he responded to that, closing his eyes a moment. "I can share that one with you, a thousand times over."

She squeezed his hand. "You had your reasons, and they are part of all of who you have been, a hope to many many peoples through the galaxy," she pointed out. "I'm asking you, Doctor, to let your current self forgive the past one, and move forward."

"That… is what this is all about," the Doctor said. "I told myself to heal, so that I can be free to help those that need it. I do the heavy lifting here and now, and the me out there can focus better.

"I didn't mean to tie you all into this, though."

"Of course you didn't," Sarah told him. "But, Doctor, no one truly walks alone. You've known that, deep down in your hearts, all along. I think you reached out to us by accident… yet you know you need us.

"Who else can understand half the wondrous things you have seen or done?"

The Doctor looked at her then, and he slowly smiled, before pulling her into the strongest hug he could manage.

"Trust you, Sarah Jane, to get to the bottom of it! You always had a handle on me."

She laughed softly. "So, what do you say to a get together, all of us on the planet that can come? Food, drinks, and story telling, to help you slot it all into place and move forward?"

"A splendid idea!"

So many faces, so many memories being shared — Sarah Jane watched the former Companions getting to know Donna Noble, each other, and this incarnation of the Doctor. She had slept without dreams every night since she suggested this.

Watching the Doctor put true closure in place with each of his Earth Companions?

She had a feeling the other version of him, out in the galaxy helping people like the Doctor should, was doing so with much lighter hearts.

If you would have told me any point within the last few years that I would be listening to a country artist, I would have probably laughed at you - I mean I like certain songs and usually limited to only a few artists but I started listening to Queer Love mix list via Spotify and I was like, why is Elvis on this list? Come to find out the song was Roses Are Falling by Orville Peck, which was definitely interesting to find out - to me, he sounds so much like him. Anyway I definitely suggest checking him out if you didn't know he existed like I did.

But to be fair, I haven't really listened to much outside of radio while I'm in the car or I usually do iheartradio artist playlists of usually of Mary Lambert, Hayley Kiyoko, Olivia Rodrigo, Maddie Zahm, Zolita, Fletcher, and Renee Rapp - the last six I found via Mary Lambert's "playlist/channel". If you're unfamiliar with iheartradio, if you have the free version (aka ad filled), you get similar artists whenever you click on an artist. Or at least familiar enough I guess. Chappell Roan I think I also found via that playlist, but also she kind of blew up a year or two ago. Pink Pony Club of course is I think my favorite song.

Discovered a whole bunch of new musicians that way a few years ago. I fell in love with Mary Lambert's version of Jessie's Girl and quickly loved her other work. Now for Maddie Zahm I think one of the first ones of her work was Fat Funny Friend or If It's Not God which I adore. I think Renee Rapp got me with her In The Kitchen and Pretty Girls.  Zolita I fell in love with her music with Somebody I F*cked Once. With Fletcher I believe it was Girls Girls Girls. Olivia Rodrigo I think was Vampire. Hayley Kiyoko with Girls Like Girls.

I think through listening/watching the official music videos of the above singers, I discovered Cloudy June (Girls Like You) and many more like Morgan Wade (Fall In Love With Me), Ryan Cassata (Daughter), Rosemary Joaquin (Erika), Devon Cole (Hey Cowboy, although W.I.T.C.H. was my original favorite),, Xana (19), girli (More Than A Friend), G Flip (GAY 4 ME), King Mala ("she calls me daddy"), Maggie Lindemann (she knows it), Hollie Col (Unholy), Aston (For the Girls & Mama Didn't Raise No), Sarah Barrios (Thank God You Introduced Me To Your Sister), Pale Waves (She's My Religion), Chloe Adams (Dirty Thoughts), Halsey (Strangers), Alexia Evellyn (Savage Daughters), Chinchilla (Little Girl Gone), Iluka (Cry Evil!), Kacey Musgraves (Dry Spell), Paris Paloma (labour), Em Beihold (Brutus), Ella Red (He Asked For It), Kiki Rockwell (Burn Your Village), Viking Barbie (Creep), SkyDxddy (Medusa), Peggy (Talk Shit! | Feminine Rage), Ashley Ryan (Hush Little Baby), Lauren Sanderson (Come Say Sum), Sofia  Isella (Everybody Supports Women), Jax (i choose violence) and Matilda (Apologize). Also really liked Jeangu Macrooy's Independent Girls & Nasty Evil Gays (which with that title, kinda gave me pause, but then you hear the lyrics and it makes sense and not actually anti-queer)

I think the last "new" country songs (not sure how "country" they are though) I've enjoyed over the last few years are: Tanner Adell's Buckle Bunny and Lil Nas X (Old Town Road). Also really enjoyed Ashley McBryde's What If We Don't.

Anyway, I don't normally talk about music on my journal, but I wanted to do something for [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth & since I've been doomscolling too much on instagram lately and the world is just shit and I haven't felt like writing - so I figured I'd talk about some music I've enjoyed over the last few years - and yes most of them are queer related, so if anyone has any favorites or recs, please suggest away! And let me know if I introduced you to anyone new! Or if you also like them.

I watched this wholesome movie Samantha:An American girl holiday a few weeks ago and have been wanting to get a chance to icon it. The current round at fandom10in30 was all about outdoors so this seemed like a great choice. I was playing around with textures and loved the first icon so much that I ended up using the same effects in all the icons!:D

Miss Congeniality, where May 25th is the perfect date because all you need is a light jacket yay
(it was fucking snowing today, big fat snowflakes if you can believe it)

That's right, iiiiit's [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth time, and despite it starting on a Saturday it's still starting off strong. I'm very banged up from work so I won't be doing much this weekend. I did however offer tarot readings at [community profile] tarot, for anybody who wants to stop by and offer/request a reading. (let me play with my pretty pretty cards 🙏)

I absolutely love tarot for the rich visuals and just how many different readings/thoughts it can prompt. And many people use tarot for creative work, storytelling, roleplaying... and so here it is, the prompt meme! Featuring The Mystical Dream Tarot & The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle.

+ Post your creations either in the comments, or your own journal.
+ If you want it added to the masterlist, also link your creation in the Prompt Fills thread.
+ All works should be new for this meme, and not something you’ve already created/posted elsewhere.
+ Any and all works welcome. Poetry, meta, stories, memories, art, whatever comes to mind. Wanna crochet? That's fucking amazing. You do you.
+ Please use NSFW/trigger warnings in the comment title/masterlist comment if they apply.
+ I'll reply with the cards drawn to your comment. Feel free to ask for a new prompt if the first one falls flat (new comment). Do give the prompt a day to linger though, an idea might just jump out at you throughout the day. The cards tend to do that ;)
+ Taking prompt requests until Sunday, May 10th.

In honor of [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth, I thought I should do an icon challenge over at [community profile] supergirl_tv since I was planning on doing a drabbleathon for the Summer.

So without further ado:

No official sign-ups, no claiming, you can use any character/pairing/universe as long as Supergirl appeared in it (even if only briefly!)
